" is a photodiary I've decided to initiate, compiling day to day events with a snapshot of a moment of the day.
snapshot of a minute in my life, that caught my eye, with a caption of sorts, either explaining the picture or describing my emotions.
I have been told that I never really open up myself to others, and more often than not, I leave people wondering what I truly feel or giving them confusing signals.
Thus, this photodiary, is in a sense, a window to my head.
All my thoughts, my emotions, everything I usually keep out-of-sight, will be put under here, other then my regular blog posts, which are usually not very informative.
Welcome, to the chaos and mess in my head.
I hope you'd find something that speaks to you, whether to pull you through something difficult, or to relate to.

"Religious commands are rooted in common behaviours that promote well-being and healthy relationships. By the time of Jesus, this connection to the deeper meaning of law and covenant had become glossed over by mere human traditions. When the Pharisees confronted the Jesus about the failure of his disciples to keep the ritual laws of washing, they were not concerned with either their closeness to God or to justice, but to undermine Jesus' authority. Jesus called the Jewish leaders back to the right attitude and behaviour rooted in hearts turned to God. It is not external behaviour that defines fidelity. Fidelity to the Law comes from living a deep internalization of its precepts.
The gospel hits home closer then we may think. What traditions do we blindly cling to? Are we doing this because we grew up doing them? Jesus calls us to look within us. Take a serious look at where our hearts lie and why we do what we do. The ultimate measure of how we regard the law is the growth of our relationships with each other and with God. This is what Jesus gave His life for, and there was no law about that."
too chim ?
hahah breaking it down,
the passage is asking when we go to church,
are we there to do 'lip-service' [i.e. going for the sake of going]
or are we there to do 'heart-service' [i.e. going there because we want to]
it also questions those who follow strictly by the book
challenging them to think
if they are true doing the right thing.
knowing the sacred rituals and such are important.
but how important can they be without faith?
faith is the root of these 'laws'
and these 'laws' aren't really laws
they are but a guidance to how we should live a Christian life
one can remember the do's and dont's in church
but at the end of the day
if you haven't got your faith
you haven't gone anywhere at all.
the passage in quotations were taken from the church bulletin
hahah sounds familiar ehh ?
