" is a photodiary I've decided to initiate, compiling day to day events with a snapshot of a moment of the day.
snapshot of a minute in my life, that caught my eye, with a caption of sorts, either explaining the picture or describing my emotions.
I have been told that I never really open up myself to others, and more often than not, I leave people wondering what I truly feel or giving them confusing signals.
Thus, this photodiary, is in a sense, a window to my head.
All my thoughts, my emotions, everything I usually keep out-of-sight, will be put under here, other then my regular blog posts, which are usually not very informative.
Welcome, to the chaos and mess in my head.
I hope you'd find something that speaks to you, whether to pull you through something difficult, or to relate to.
i just knew we were trouble when we first met
Sunday, 1 August 2010
i told a million white lies
just to get close to youi'm irrevocably in love with them UK music
if you dont know what i'm talking about
you seriously
are living under a rock
cos even MTV is playing UK songs nowadays
don't even dare say you haven't heard any
and that they most probably suck
cos Chipmunk (Oopsy Daisy, Look for Me), One Night Only (Say You Don't Want It),
Jamie Cullum (Twentysomething) etc are all from there
hell
the world's most amazing music festival
the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts (Glastonbury/Glasto)
is there smack in UK
and everyone important goes there
either to party all day (and night) long
or perform perform perform
you see only the best performances there
and c'mon
US music are one-hit-wonders
UK on the other hand produce the classics
oh sure we've got Stevie Wonder (I Just Called to Say I Love You) and Elvis (Love Me Tender, Heartbreak Hotel) down in the USA
but what do they have up against Elton John (Your Song, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Candle in the Wind), The Beatles (Love Me Do, Please Please Me, P.S. I Love You)
and The Bee Gees (How Deep is Your Love, Stayin' Alive, Night Fever)
and who can forget the famous line "Bond, James Bond"
from the James Bond series, Dr. No
and who made it famous ?
Sean Connery
and where was he from?
bloody England for god's sake
d'you have any internationally famous line
made famous by a movie star of any particular country?
didn't think so..
now tell me
can anyone randomly quote a line from any random movie
and some random person can guess it ?
i mean won't the whole conversation go something like :
A: I don't know what you been feedin' him, but he is TOO DAMN BIG!
B: HUH ?!
A: It's from Rush Hour 3
B: right... *getting freaked out by weird person A*
SEE ?
but back to my point
which is
UK's music is seriously awesome
and dont think for a minute any other kind of music can push 'em off the pedestal so easily
if it were that easy
i wouldn't be here ranting would i?
so maybe korean knick-knacks are all the rave right now
and maybe tomorrow it'll be all things spanish (who knows?)
but they will and always be one-hit-wonders
which is the same as nothing
but UK?
live on my friends
never grows old
that's a classic
p.s. my post's title and quote under the picture are from the UK singer Mr. Hudson
and the picture is of the Glastonbury Town
beautiful ain't it?
so we said; thee, thee, hear. 02:23
